Pranaya Venkatapuram
Research Analyst
Pranaya is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Public Health at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine and holds a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis. After graduating in 2014, Pranaya continued as a researcher for Global HealthShare Initiative. She worked on an interdisciplinary research project to improve livelihoods of smallholder farmer families through agricultural education and community health initiatives in the Sundarban Delta of West Bengal, India. Pranaya is also actively involved in Shifa Community Clinic, a student-run clinic affiliated with the UC Davis School of Medicine that provides uninsured populations access to culturally sensitive, quality medical care. Going forward, she hopes to continue contributing to interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts in public health and medicine to empower underserved communities both locally and globally.
