Dr. Huang currently serves as Vice President of Research and Development for Ventria Bioscience. In his work with Ventria, he directed the development of ExpressTecTM, their integrated protein production platform. Prior to Ventria, he led a research team on genome study for the International Rice Research Institute. Dr. Huang has made significant contributions in molecular breeding technology, plant genomics and the understanding of cereal grain gene expression. He received his Ph.D. in Genetics from The University of California, Davis, in 1990, where he currently serves as an advisor for the Center of Excellence in Nutritional Genomics.
